CE Marking is a European marking scheme indicating conformity with the essential requirements of relevant European Union Directives regarding safety, health, the environment and consumer protection. CE marking is required for all products covered by a European Directive and which are to be placed on the market in any of the 18 countries comprising the European Economic Area (EEA). By placing the CE mark on a product, the manufacturer declares that the product complies with laws embraced by the countries in the EEA to facilitate free trade.
